Are you fiercely unstoppable? When I was asked to be a part of an upcoming book called “Fiercely Unstoppable Entrepreneurs” with a bunch of amazing authors who have overcome great obstacles to be changing lives throughout the world I had to ask myself if I fit the bill.

Compared to Elizabeth Clamon, the catalyst of this amazing opportunity I didn’t think I had anything to offer. She was abused as a child, had a horrible accident that kept her bedridden for years, she has had a ton of surgeries and has a slew of illnesses like fibromyalgia, Lupus and a bunch of other things so who am to be a speaker in her Spring Summit and one of the author contributors to her new book?

I thought back to my life and the challenges I’ve been through with substance abuse and mental illness, divorce and job loss, family difficulties, rejection and failure, financial duress and people slandering me and trying to destroy me on many levels but here I am writing this blog, recording videos, doing podcasts, writing books and speaking at events all over the world and winning tons of awards so I guess I do fit the bill.

So I thought to myself, what exactly makes a fiercely unstoppable person  or ministry or business? We don’t have to look far to find them. Any business owner has to make it through the hard knocks and difficult times. Even if someone is handed a successful business they have to learn how to run it and do everything that is entailed in a business and that’s not easy.

Actually if I truly consider it,  every person I know has been through their own life challenges that have, at times, caused them to want to give up.  I believe we have all been there at some point but if you are reading this you have not given up. You have been fiercely unstoppable.

So what are the key ingredients to that determination? I can only tell you what it is for me but I’d love to haer your view of it.

  1. God made me for a special purpose and if I’m not doing it I am miserable. Been there done that. Being in the center of His will for me has given me the desire to keep moving forward
  2. I have been convinced about what I am supposed to be doing. God created me to help others find their purpose in life and help them overcome barriers like mental illness or addiction or some other struggle that keeps them from doing what they were meant to do.
  3. I love what I do. When you can’t wait to help change another life and give someone HOPE it isn’t hard to push through the tough times because you know there will be a positive end result just in preparing to run a race or compete in anything for that matter. It takes practice, time and pain.
  4. I like the challenge. It’s like when you get done working out or running a race or going for a bike ride…. when you are done it feels good. When I have just hung up from talking to a struggling person who has tried everything and had no hope and I can offer them some, it is amazing.
  5. I admit it….the rewards of never giving up are awesome too. I have published two books that people have said changed their lives. My husband and I received the Red Cross Real Heroes Award and I got the Athena Award for my work with homeless, unemployed, mentally ill, offenders and veterans giving them housing and a reintegration training program that transformed their lives. I have a plaque from the Governor of Wisconsin that reads “….you are an example for the citizens of Wisconsin to follow” and I recently received the Alignable 2020-2021 Wausau Wisconsin Business of the Year Award and last week I received the Best of  Wausau Award.

I don’t know what your motivation is but I am very grateful for ongoing opportunities to offer HOPE (Help Opportunity Praise Encouragement) to others through the Fiercely Unstoppable Entrepreneurs Summit and Book and I am especially excited to share the opportunity with my niece Stephanie Kunkel who will share her story of overcoming depression and now offering training to businesses on how to work with employees who have mental illness.

So whoever you are reading this, have you found your purpose? Have you lost the will be become fiercely unstoppable? If so, there is a whole world of people who have been created to help one another overcome these challenges. If you are reading this you are meant to be here so if you are wondering what I could possibly do to help, please reach out. You won’t know until you ask.  (You can sign up
