What is a brand anyway??

I’ve been finding my brand since I have been working to start an online business. I never used to hear the term, but it sure has been beat into my head this last year. Being an entrepreneur and business owner comes with all kinds of learning curves, especially in marketing and sales.  It’s not often what business owners want to focus on; we’d rather be “working toward the mission.” And yet, marketing and sales are what keeps a business alive.  It is only through sales that we can generate the funds that allow us to help others while sustaining ourselves.  What I have learned is that, despite my resistance, it is important to have a single focus that is clear and concise and makes it easy for your customers/consumers/patients/affiliates or anyone else to see in a matter of seconds who you are and what you do.

I am working to make it clear that my mission is to help others discover their purpose in life and how to leave their legacy doing a job they love to do while getting paid.  The “Faucet of HOPE” is an important part of that but how to wrap that and the rest of my marketing into my brand is in the works! Because there are so many things I want to do and so many people I want to help. Philippians 4:19. “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”.

“Your Brand Just needs Focus” they said.

I struggle to keep focused; I have ADHD after all.  I also enjoy working with clients, speaking, writing, crafting, singing, and collaborating with others… So how can I focus on one of those things? In reality, there isn’t just one thing I can focus on, there are several. All of them are viable opportunities for me to focus my efforts for maximum effect.  So, let’s get into it.

Here is how I intend to “FOCUS” on helping others leave their legacy. You could say that this is my branded mission.

1) I am going to help people learn how to get their “where do I go from here” questions answered. I’ll do this by connecting them with the one who has all the answers to that question, God. He created each of us for a purpose and is just waiting for us to start down the path.  That’s the difficult part, beginning. Change creates friction, imagine breaking to turn your car.  Going in a different direction isn’t always easy for someone, so connecting them with God and allowing him to lead them on their path is the most important part of it all.

Branding isn’t the how.

That first part is the most important focus – but the question is How.

2) I am going to offer a series of videos, audios, live webinars, written material, individual and group counseling options on how to find your purpose in life.  I am approaching 70 and I have experience in many different topics that people may need help with.  I can facilitate help through my own experience or through my network so that my clients reach their life goals.

2) I am going to write inspirational books on how I have gone through life as well as the people I have met and how they have positively influenced me and others. The next book will be “Speak to Me God I Am Listening.”  I am also going to update my “Ditzy Blonde Faucet It’s a God Thing” book and make it Kindle ready as well as record an audio version. Stay tuned.

3) I am going to teach people the value of those in the 12 step recovery programs talk about in step 11 which is to “seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him. Praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.” Focusing on the importance of this helps me to fulfill that first focus but allows me to help others in recovery like me.

More for my brand:

4)I am going to help others to leave their legacy of HOPE by giving them the Help Opportunity Praise and Encouragement they need to write that book, do that video, share that story or whatever else is needed to inspire others.

5) I am going to teach others how to work together and collaborate so we can all move forward together to Change the World by offering our unique and needed gifts to the world through webinars, audios, live training and talks and writing books and articles.

6) I am going to offer artists, musicians, speakers and coaches the opportunity to sell their goods on the Faucet of HOPE Web-based Store where they will get 75% of sales of their products.

7) I am going to offer all these services through the Faucet of HOPE Business Collaborative Membership Program which will range from the $0-$399 a month or on a per session basis.

8) I am offering my program in such a way that anyone can get paid 25% of my membership fees or other service fees for referring people who purchase.  I am also offering an opportunity for people to get my services for free just by referring me to others. My goal is to help as many people as I can, which in turn helps all those who are seeking my assistance to expand their reach to the rest of the world.

Branding Focus

So, I guess that doesn’t “seem” very focused to the average person, but all these things help people to find their purpose and get started creating the life that God intended for them.  There can be one focus but multiple paths to get there. I first wrote this post in 2015 and am updating it to put it back out there (in 2025!!) I have focused on all these things in the past ten years and continue to do so.  Feel free to look around my site here, to see what all I’ve done for focusing in on my brand.

Please leave a comment or suggestion on the developing website or proposed services and sign up for more updates!!!

If you’re a business owner too, let me know how your branding is coming along.
